For healths sake Roller Skate!!!

Roller Skating is something the whole family can do! Almost anyone who can walk can roller skate with a little practice. Even if you have never skated before. It is a lot like riding a bike, with a little balance and determination, suddenly it's easy. We will be glad to help you with simple tips to get you going. Ready for something more? Want to learn to go backward or do the conga? We will be glad to explain how. For those interested private and/or group lessons can be arranged for a fee; basics, fancy conga, waltz....

Walking is considered to be the best form of exercise there is. Many people do it and add weights to increase the workload for certain muscle groups.

However walking has it's drawbacks. Where do you walk? Considerations include weather, traffic, dogs, muggers.

Roller skating is much the same movement as walking and the skates are the added weight. You are indoors so rain, snow or wind do not matter, also no speeding cars, barking dogs or shady characters.

A lot of people try to take their "tunes" with them; when you come skating the tunes are provided. However if you have some favorites bring them along, we often play music brought along by skaters.

The other advantage to Roller Skating is the company! It is hard to convince yourself to walk for an hour alone but at the rink the three hours will pass quickly. You will exercise more without realizing it.
